Day Trip in LA

Left pretty early in the morning around 6 AM to head up to KRLA. When we got there were 2 guys that were there since 6 AM, 2 from 8 AM, and we came around 8:30. We stayed in the car and 2 more people came so John went out there to sit.

The little sucker was only $75 in the KR stores, unlike the $80 announced earlier which was nice. I need to put him with his GID partner now :) YAY Skullhead Dunny! I might drag it along to SDCC this year just to get it signed since it feels incomplete a little bit without that.

After getting the dunnies we went ahead and went to the Beverly Center to stroll around then hit up Pink's Hot Dogs. Last time we went in the evening so there was no line. This time, there were a lot of people. When we left the line wrapped around the building.

I got the Guadalajara (Reg 9" with relish, onions, tomatos, sour cream, and bacon) and John got the Millennium (12" jalapeƱo dog with tomatoes, chili, guacamole, grilled onions, lettuce, and bacon) dog.

The food was once again amazing... I love their hot dogs!
The hot dog was so big he couldn't pick it all up.

Huck Gee 8" Dunny Release by Kidrobot

Released 3/24/11 by Kidrobot
Run of 650 worldwide
Every release isn't without its bumps and stalls along the way. We've all seen it before... the crashing sites, missing buttons, and stalling check-outs. What made this release the all-time worst ever was Kidrobot's oversight of the new wishlist feature. Apparently, you were able to check out with multiple dunnys (no visible order limit) about half an hour before they were officially released. This means a lot of resellers got their hands on this awesome piece while others missed out entirely. Lots of stores only got a few pieces each that they only sold in person which left many people without online options.
Kidrobot gives us a coupon!
As an apology from Kidrobot, they posted on both the boards and Facebook a coupon that gives us 25% off for the next few days. It's not much... actually I don't ever use their coupons since shipping + tax sucks but at least it's something.

Just a little personal rant about complainers

Happy Lunar New Year!

Banners decorating the outside of the Asian Garden Mall
It's that time of year again where you'll see red, yellow, and gold lining the Asian areas with hanging lanterns and cherry blossoms in windows. In the night you'll hear firecrackers go off and see dancing lions. February 3rd is filled with exchanging of gifts, in particular, red envelops filled with new money. Remember, anything that happens on the first of the year will happen for the rest of the year.

The Outdoor Marketplace
I haven't really celebrated the new year much in the past but it's always fun to see what goes on. Even though I lived in Orange County for about 5 years, this was the first year I went to anything remotely related to new year activity. I only went to the market they put up every year in front of the Asian Garden Mall in Santa Ana, CA.

Inside the mall they had a special group of artists that were touring from China. See below the cut for more pictures ^_^

Cute Disney Bags

I was cruising around The Disney Wedding Blog when I came across these cute Disney bags made on Etsy. I just had to share because they were so adorable. I'm tempted to get one even though I'm tight on money right now ^_^ There's a link in the caption to the etsy store it's available at.

The second Disney item is similar but this store make smaller bags/coin purses and buttons. They have Alice in Wonderland also but I really liked the Aristocats bag ^_^
